About Us
Happy Day People are a mother-daughter team born and bred in Melbourne/Naarm, Australia. Angela & Claudia founded Happy Day People in 2021 with the desire to create items that are colourful, funny and celebrate Australia. Angela & Claudia are inspired by colour, pop culture, nature, nostalgia and humour and are passionate about creating considered, quality products that put a smile on your dial.
Happy Day People find inspiration from the sights, sounds & scents around them. Often an idea will come on a local or walk or road trip. Angela experiments with different fragrance notes and trials many variations until she’s made a candle that’s just right. Claudia takes photos everywhere she goes and will use these to hand-sketch designs for the screen-printed items. The duo collaborates on all products. Generally, they will workshop ideas until one will suggest something that makes them both laugh and that settles it. They hope that the ideas that bring them joy will also make others laugh or smile.
Life can be very serious and stressful. Angela & Claudia are passionate about celebrating the more colourful and fun parts of life in the hope that we can all have a Happy Day.

Happy Day People take a considered approach to sourcing, choosing raw materials that are cruelty free and from suppliers who’s ethical, environmental and social values match their own. We know our products inside and out and aren’t shy about talking about them. Because we use mostly natural ingredients, we understand not all candles are the same and sometimes weird stuff can happen.
