Who Even Are Happy Day People?

Hi there, nice to meet you. Have you ever wondered who the mysterious makers behind Happy Day People are? Probably not. However, we’re going to introduce ourselves anyway.

We're Angela & Claudia, a mother-daughter team born and bred in Melbourne.

In 2021, we decided to combine each of our backgrounds in the gifting and fashion industries to create our own company, Happy Day People.

Angela has been crafting and selling gifts forever, her greatest creation being her daughter Claudia (who wrote this). Angela's extensive history as a maker means she's meticulous about everything she creates. Angela is the master chandler behind our gorgeous decorative candles and the skilled screen printer who brings all of our designs come to life on our textile products. Angela has perfected her methods through much trial and error and has very high standards for the products she makes.

Being the apple that didn't fall far from the tree, Claudia has taken her inherited love of art and craft and a background in fashion & graphic design to create Happy Day People's original artworks. Claudia is a sponge for all categories and eras of art and takes inspiration from endless sources. Claudia loves to draw unique artworks that combine the old and the new in the hope to elicit a nostalgic and/or happy reaction from whover views them.

After a difficult few years, we wanted to create gifts that were colourful, funny and celebrated Australia. Having worked in similar industries for many years, we are both passionate about creating considered, quality products. At every stage, we're conscious of the ethical and environmental impacts of our work. We have worked hard to ensure our sourcing is as traceable as possible so nothing nasty sneaks in.
